This means that wind power will be the first to enter the "era of parity" compared with other new energy sources such as photovoltaic.

Wind power has become the third largest power source in China after coal power and hydropower, and has entered the development stage of alternative energy from supplementary energy. But economy is still an important factor restricting the development of wind power. Compared with the traditional fossil energy power, the generation cost of wind power is still relatively high, the subsidy demand and policy dependence are strong, and the industry development is greatly affected by policy changes.
"In recent years, China's wind power development and utilization technology has made continuous progress, the scale of application has continued to expand, and the economy has improved significantly. Some regions with better resource conditions have the technical conditions of zero subsidy access to the Internet." The relevant person in charge of the National Energy Administration said that the conditions for carrying out the demonstration work of wind power parity online are basically mature.
In November 2014, the State Council issued the "energy development strategic action plan (2014-2020)", which proposed that by 2020, the grid price of wind power and coal power will be equivalent, that is, to realize the generation side parity grid. At the end of 2015, the national development and Reform Commission issued the notice of the national development and Reform Commission on improving the on grid benchmark electricity price policy of onshore wind photovoltaic power generation. According to the on grid benchmark electricity price of onshore wind power projects, the first three resource areas will be reduced by 2 cents and 3 cents respectively in 2016 and 2018, and the fourth resource areas will be reduced by 1 cent and 2 cents respectively.
"In recent years, China's renewable energy technology has made significant progress, and the cost has decreased greatly." The relevant person in charge of the National Energy Administration said that the goal of "by 2020, the price of wind power projects can compete with the local coalfired power generation on the same platform" is to send a signal to the industry, that is, we must speed up the pace of cost reduction through technological progress, so that the industry can get rid of the dependence on policy subsidies as soon as possible. From the current situation, it is estimated that by 2020, if the problem of consumption can be effectively solved, the goal of wind power and photovoltaic affordable access to the Internet can be achieved.
